There is a kind of faith that is easy to declare when everything feels possible.
God can heal.
God can restore.
God can turn it around.
I believe that with my whole heart. There is nothing too big or too small for Him. He is able. He is powerful. He is still performing miracles.
But here is the harder question I have had to ask myself:
How much do I trust Him in the āeven ifā?
Even if the healing doesnāt come the way I want.
Even if the timeline stretches longer than I expected.
Even if the diagnosis doesnāt disappear.
Will I still praise Him?
This question takes me back to Daniel chapter 3. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stood before King Nebuchadnezzar as he threatened to throw them into a blazing furnace if they refused to worship his gods. Their response was bold and unwavering.
They told the king that their God was able to rescue them. But even if He did not, they would not bow.
Even if.
They were thrown into the fire. God did not prevent the furnace. He did not stop the trial from happening. But He met them in it. The fire did not consume them. Not even the smell of smoke clung to them. They came out unharmed because God was with them.
That story feels personal.
This lung disease has become my furnace. God has not prevented me from walking through it. He has not removed the diagnosis overnight. But He is with me in the fire. He guards my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). And I can do all things through Him who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13).
The fire has not consumed me.
I will continue to pray for healing. I will continue to believe for miracles. And I will continue to praise Him through it.
Because trusting God in the āeven ifā is not surrendering hope. It is surrendering control.
And that is where faith deepens.
A Thought for You š¬
Faith is not only believing God can.
It is trusting Him even if He doesnāt move the way you expect.
The furnace may be real. The heat may feel intense. But the presence of God in the fire is greater than the fire itself.
You are not alone in what you are facing.
A Closing Thought šš½āāļø
God may not prevent every furnace.
But He never abandons His children in the flames.
Whether He rescues you from it or sustains you through it, His presence is your protection.
Even if.
Still trusting.
Still praising.
Still His.
A Prayer For You šš½
Heavenly Father,
You are able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we can ask or imagine.
We believe in Your power. We believe in Your healing. But teach us to trust You in the āeven if.ā Strengthen our hearts to praise You, whether You deliver us from the fire or walk with us through it. Guard our hearts and minds with Your peace. Give us strength for today and hope for tomorrow. In the precious and matchless name of Jesus, we pray, amen.

Tell me what you think, even if itās just: “I had coffee too.” ā
