If youāve ever taken a leap of faith, you know that thrilling mix of excitement and nerves that comes with it. Thatās exactly where I am right now. šļø
After weeks (okay, months!) of writing, editing, praying, and rewriting again, The Race of Your Life: A Spiritual and Mental Battle Against an Incurable Disease is officially heading into the self-publishing stageāand I couldnāt be more excited (and yes, a little nervous too!).
This next chapter feels surreal. Iām waiting for the proof copies to arriveāthose precious first prints that make everything feel real. I want every word, every detail, every reflection in this memoir to reflect the care, prayer, and purpose poured into it. Because this isnāt just my storyāitās Godās story through me.
š A Dream Becoming Reality
When I started writing The Race of Your Life, I didnāt imagine how much this book would stretch me, challenge me, and ultimately transform me. What began as my personal story of living with chronic illness has grown into something far greaterāa message of hope, perseverance, and unwavering faith.
And now⦠itās almost here.
Iām trusting God through every final edit, every layout review, and every late-night proofread. Because publishing this book isnāt just about getting it on shelvesāitās about getting it into hearts.
š The Beauty of Self-Publishing
Self-publishing is both exhilarating and humbling. It means I get to be fully involved in the processādesign, formatting, printing, marketing, all of it. Itās a creative adventure that lets me bring this project to life exactly as it was meant to be: authentic, faith-driven, and full of heart.
Thereās so much joy in knowing that Iām not just finishing a bookāIām building a ministry tool that will reach others walking through their own battles. Every decisionāfont, cover design, even chapter formattingāfeels like a small act of worship.
Itās exciting and terrifying, but thatās the beauty of obedience, right? You take the step, even when you canāt see the whole path, trusting that God will guide your feet.
šļø Mark Your Calendars ā December 1, 2025!
Thatās the big day! šš½
On December 1, 2025, The Race of Your Life will officially be published and available to the world. My heart is already overflowing just thinking about it!
And thereās moreāthis memoir will be accompanied by a Workbook/Journal designed to help readers go deeper. Itās filled with reflection prompts, faith quotes, and guided exercises to help you process your own raceāspiritually, emotionally, and mentally.
Whether youāre navigating illness, uncertainty, or just a tough season of life, this companion tool will help you draw strength from Scripture, reflect on your journey, and find peace in Godās promises.
š¤ļø Nervous? Yes. Grateful? Absolutely.
I wonāt lieāhitting āpublishā feels a bit like jumping out of a plane (without the parachute packed by me, thankfully!). š Thereās vulnerability in putting your story out into the world. But thereās also immense joy in knowing that obedience to God always leads to impact.
Every bit of anxiety is balanced by excitement, every ounce of fear is covered by faith. And I keep reminding myself: If God brought me to it, Heāll see me through it.
Philippians 1:6 says,
āHe who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.ā
Thatās my promise verse for this season. Because this book truly has been a āgood workā that God started long before I realized what He was doing.
š¬ A Thought for You
Maybe youāre in your own āwaiting for the proof copyā seasonāwaiting for something to come together, something youāve worked hard and prayed long for. If so, let me encourage you: donāt give up now. The waiting is not wasted. God is refining, shaping, and preparing the next part of your story.
You donāt have to see the full picture to celebrate whatās aheadājust keep running your race, one faithful step at a time.
šš½āāļø Closing Thought
This isnāt just the end of a writing journeyāitās the beginning of a new one.
I canāt wait to hold the finished book in my hands and share it with you all. Every page, every word, every prayer written between the lines is a testament to Godās goodness and grace.
So stay tuned, friends. The finish line is in sight⦠and this is just the beginning of something beautiful. āØ
With grace,
Stacy
