Hope is a powerful thing.
Itās what carries us when our strength runs out. Itās what whispers, āKeep going,ā when everything inside us wants to quit. And most of allāitās what reminds us that even when life feels uncertain, God never is.
Thereās something sacred about hope thatās been tested. The kind of hope that doesnāt come easy or cheaply. The type of hope forged in the fire of disappointment, fear, and waiting still stands.
š When Hope Feels Fragile
There are days when hope feels more like a flickering candle than a roaring flame. Days when prayers feel unanswered and progress feels far away. Iāve been thereāstaring at the ceiling, wondering if God still sees me, still hears me, still has a plan that makes sense.
But hereās what Iāve learned: hope isnāt the absence of struggleāitās the anchor in the middle of it.
Romans 15:13 says,
āNow may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.ā
That verse has carried me through some of my hardest nights. When I couldnāt see the way forward, Godās Spirit reminded me that hope wasnāt something I had to createāit was something He gives.
š¤ Hope Is a Daily Decision
Hope isnāt always a feeling. Sometimes, itās a decision.
Itās waking up and choosing to believe that God is still working behind the scenes, even when you canāt see what Heās doing. Itās whispering a prayer when your heart feels heavy and saying, āLord, I still trust You.ā
There have been moments in my journey with chronic illness when I felt like giving upāphysically, emotionally, and spiritually. But each time, God has found a way to remind me: Heās not finished yet.
Every breath, every sunrise, every small victory is a reminder that His faithfulness hasnāt run out.
š Faithful Even When We Falter
Hereās the truth that humbles me every time: Godās faithfulness doesnāt depend on my perfection.
Even when I question, even when I stumble, even when I let fear creep ināHe remains steady. His love doesnāt waver based on how strong my faith feels on any given day. He meets me right where I am and says, āIāve got you.ā
2 Timothy 2:13 reminds us,
āIf we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.ā
That means no matter how uncertain my future feels, my hope is secureābecause it rests in who He is, not in what I can do.
šø The Beauty of Being Carried
Hope doesnāt always look like standing tall. Sometimes, it looks like being carried.
There are days when all I can pray is, āLord, help me take one more step.ā And somehow, thatās enough. Because He carries me when I canāt carry myself. He fills my lungs when my breath feels shallow. He renews my spirit when I feel depleted.
And over and over again, He proves that His grace is sufficient and His promises are true.
š¬ A Thought for You
If youāre reading this and your hope feels small, please knowāsmall hope is still hope.
Itās enough.
Because the size of your hope doesnāt determine Godās ability to move.
Heās faithful to the end. He always has been. He always will be.
Even when healing looks different than you imagined, even when the journey feels long, even when your story takes an unexpected turnāHe is still good.
Hold on. Youāre not forgotten. The story isnāt over.
šš½āāļø Closing Thought
Hope is not pretending everything is perfectāitās knowing that God is working even when itās not.
And one day, when we look back, weāll see how every tear, every prayer, every waiting season was leading us closer to Him.
So today, I choose hope.
I choose trust.
I choose to believe that the same God who began this story will be faithful to the end. š
With grace,
Stacy
šš½ š§š½āāļø A Prayer for Enduring Hope
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being my constant when everything else feels uncertain. When Iām tired, lift me up. When Iām afraid, remind me that You are near. When I feel like giving up, fill me with Your peace that passes understanding.
Help me to trust that Your timing is perfect and Your promises are true.
Even when I canāt see the ending, I will cling to the truth that You are faithful from beginning to end. In Jesusā name, amen.

Tell me what you think, even if itās just: “I had coffee too.” ā
