If there’s one thing life with a chronic or incurable condition has taught me, it’s this: waiting is hard.
We wait for lab results.
We wait for treatments to kick in.
We wait for energy to return, for pain to ease, for a glimpse of what “normal” used to feel like.
But deeper still, we wait on God—
for direction,
for healing,
for peace,
for hope that this storm won’t last forever.
And waiting isn’t passive. It’s one of the most active, faith-stretching things we’ll ever do.
🌿 🤲🏽 Waiting with Faith
Trusting God’s timing means learning to lean into His promises when our circumstances are uncertain. It’s choosing to believe that His delays are not His denials, and that silence doesn’t mean absence.
Psalm 27:14 reminds us: “Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart be courageous. Wait for the LORD.”
Waiting takes courage. It takes strength to pray one more prayer when you don’t see an answer yet. It takes faith to get up, put one foot in front of the other, and believe God is still writing your story—one page at a time.
✨ 🎞️ God Moves in the Hidden Places
The thing about waiting is that it feels like nothing is happening. But behind the scenes, God is always working. Like a seed planted deep in the soil, growth often begins where we can’t see it.
While I’m waiting, He’s cultivating patience.
While I’m waiting, He’s deepening my trust.
While I’m waiting, He’s teaching me that His ways are higher than mine.
And when His timing unfolds, it’s always right—never too soon, never too late.
🙏🏽 🤲🏽 Choosing to Trust Daily
Trusting God’s timing isn’t a one-time decision. It’s a daily choice:
- To keep praying when you’re weary.
- To keep showing up when you’d rather give up.
- To keep trusting when the silence feels long.
And in those moments of surrender, we find peace. Isaiah 40:31 says, “But those who trust in the LORD will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not become weary, they will walk and not faint.”
That renewal doesn’t always mean my lungs feel stronger or my body feels whole—but it always means my spirit is lifted, and my hope is anchored.
💡 💬 A Thought for You
Maybe you’re in a waiting season right now. Perhaps you’ve been praying for relief, direction, or answers. Let me encourage you: your waiting is not wasted. God is still working, even in the silence. His timing may not match your timeline, but it will always match His perfect plan.
✨ 🙇🏽♀️ Closing Thought
The waiting may feel long, but God’s timing is always worth it. He’s never late. He’s never early. He is right on time—and while we wait, He is shaping us into who He’s called us to be.
With Grace, Stacy
🙏🏽 A Prayer for Trust in God’s Timing
Lord,
Waiting is hard. Sometimes it feels endless. Sometimes it feels silent. But I choose to believe You are still moving, even when I can’t see it. Help me to trust that Your timing is perfect, even when I don’t understand. Give me strength for the waiting, peace for the silence, and hope for the days ahead. Thank You that my life is in Your hands, and that You are faithful to finish what You have started. In the precious name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.

Tell me what you think, even if it’s just: “I had coffee too.” ☕
